P & C picked up maximum points against Hockley on Saturday.

Batting first they were in trouble and slumped to 75 for 6. But Slasher Steve Francis came in at number 6 and, living up to his nickname, smashed 127 in 27 overs including 7 sixes and 17 fours. He put on 169 for the seventh wicket with James Rosewarn who completed a maiden half century.

In reply, Hockley lost wickets at regular intervals and were dismissed for a respectable 174. Dave Tolson took 3 for 35 off 12 overs.
