Secretary's Report

A member of the Bar Staff has voiced an interest in providing the club teas and I will contact her to discuss in depth and revert accordingly.

Mark Jenkins attended the Essex Sunday League AGM and reported that

no contentious issues had arisen other than the league had again asked for sides to provide scorers.

Dave Francis had attended the T-Rippon League AGM and reported that

the only rule change that was voted through related to a £60 fine for any non attendance of meetings.

We will post copies of the minutes once received from the respective leagues.

New members for forthcoming season must be submitted to the secretary

ASAP in order that they can be submitted to the Club Committee and current club members Richard Toon, Craig Gilbey and Anthony Aylieff have expressed an interest in playing this year. On the matter of old members wishing to return to the club it is their responsibility to contact the Pegasus Club regarding their acceptance back into the club and once this had been agreed they would we would be considered for joining the cricket selection.

It was felt that the 2005 Christmas function at Friern Manor had been a success but in the interest of attracting all members to our presentation night the committee felt that next years function would be marketed as the End of Season Ladies Night. We would then look to run a new function in March prior to the season starting which would be a presentation night disco with a running buffet rather than a sit down meal. I will look into Hall availability as the club are apparently now looking at hiring the big hall on selected Saturday nights.

The High Roding situation had been settled amicably with both the league and umpires panel.

The committee had again reiterated that John Bennett and Trevor King were to be given honorary membership of the cricket section by way of thanks for their service to the club.

Fixture Secretary's Report

We are still waiting for the Saturday League Fixtures to be confirmed and the first friendlies will be the weekend of the 15th and 16th April. We will not show 4th team fixtures within the clubs fixture card but will look to field as many 4th Team games as physically possible.

Following on from the success of last years 20/20 day the club will again run a 20/20 day on the 9th September 2006.

Treasurers Report

Currently we have approx £1000 in the bank without November and Decembers payment taken into consideration. Peter and Neil will also undertake an availability study to see how many games certain players played last season and see if any refunds are required.

Colts cricket

We really do want to run a colts side but due to ongoing insurance issues and the clubs constitution we are finding  this extremely difficult to arrange. In an effort to clear up the insurance issue we will be writing to the club to clarify the costs of the insurance and to offset some of the costs see if we can perhaps obtain sponsorship. Ben and Neil will revert.

Club Tour

We have 4 games arranged for tour, ( Week of the 26/6/05 ) Bolney, Forest Row, Chillingley and Plumpton and we are trying to arrange a return fixture with Forest Row for some time during the season.

Any other Business

Thommo to arrange Flowers for Bing as a thank you for the providing the teas.

In an effort to keep members updated with upcoming functions and news Peter Willett volunteered to create a club database of each players address and phone numbers which would then enable us to send out a News Release to all club members. We would therefore ask all players to

provide this information ASAP to Peter.

Dave Francis will look into whether we can place some team photos on the walls of the clubs as currently there are no cricket teams on show.

Ben reported back on the new club kit  ( Shirts and Whites ) We should have in the next few weeks confirmation of potential sponsors and would

expect that a full set of shirts and trousers would cost a maximum of £30. Ben will revert once this has been confirmed.
