2.  Apologies for Absence

3.  Matters Arising

-  At the previous meeting Ben and myself were asked to evaluate the state of all sightscreens, and decide whether to buy new ones for the start of the season.  It was decided that with a little attention the 3rd team screen can be salvaged for another year.  Steve Francis has kindly volunteered to carry out this work and throughtout the season will build a replica for next year for a discount price.  Any help with labour would be greatly appreciated.

-  An invoice for this seasons Saturday League cricket balls/umpire fees has been received and will be paid by Thommo.

-  The Turf report is now on the website.

-  The signs for the wooden hut have now been done.

4.  Secretary's Report

-  Martin Sayers and Alan Patmore will attend the Sunday League meeting on Sunday 4th April to collect and pay for cricket balls and handbooks.

-  The club has received an application from a player, who unfortunately is not a member.  He works at the refinery and John Bennett will speak to him about possible options.

-  It has been made clear by the Chairman that all applications from players must first pass through the secretary before any further action can be taken.

-  Steve Marshall and Barry Martin, who are already Pegasus club members, are setting up standing orders and will be available to play this season.

5.  Fixture Secretary's Report

-  Sunday 12th September vs Spartans.  John will confirm this fixture after it was approved by the committee.

-  An offer was made by Havering atte Bower for our second XI to take part in their quiz night on April 24th.  No decision has yet been made, although it is unlikely we will.

-  Fixture cards are at the printers.

6.  Treasurers Report

-  There is still money owing from certain players from last season.  It was proposed and carried that letters will be sent to the relevant individuals highlighting this fact.

-  The cricket gear ordered last year has now arrived.  Contact Thommo to collect it.

-  There is still a problem with the club tie.  Thommo was again sent numerous shades of yellow to pick from, but none were suitable.

-  Steve Aylieff will aquire new Umpire's jackets for the club.

-  Neil Gray will acquire bowling markers for the club.

-  So as to avoid membership difficulties all colts dates of birth will be recorded and monitered until they are 18, and therefore must adult members of the club.

-  Keith Hawkes will enquire about the price of slats for the catching cradle, which we will attempt to fix for the new season.

-  Ben Francis will write letters to local colleges enquiring about the possibility of making an electronic scoreboard.

7. Colts cricket

-  The first colts game will be during the week commencing 9th May.

-  Roger Maxted will attend a child protection course in order to continue managing the colts. (no jokes please chaps)

-  Ben Francis has acquired the colts equipment from the Lord's Taverners.

8.  Club Tour

-  All plans for the tour are moving along well, Alec Courson and Thommo are in the process of finding a fixture for Wednesday, if none are available a golf day has been suggested.

9. Any other Business

-  The cricket nets need to be put up, and the third team shed needs to be cleaned, a working party is being organized for April 17th; our first friendly game.

-  The quiz night will start at 7.30 on Friday 2nd April.

-  Tuesdays have been tentatively set for selection meetings.

-  John Bennetts good lady will be doing the teas this year.

-  The T.Rippon league meeting on April 20th will include a vote on a rule change as well as picking up equipment.  All Captains and Vice-Captains within the club have agreed to attend.

-  After the confusion at our last meeting surrounding the Sunday Vice-Captain not being a committee member, it has been agreed that the proposal to change this rule will come at the next AGM.  In the mean time the committee feel it prudent to invite Alan Patmore to all committee meetings.
