P&C started their Sunday league season with a comprehensive victory over their visitors although the scoreline does little to reflect the supremacy.

Batting first some positive running from openers Michael Tegg 37 and Keith Hawkes 80 added 125 for a first wicket partnership which Daryl Hymas 35 and Martin Sayers 28 able to play there shots freely in contributing to a competitive total. Chris Hunt was the main Trinity wicket taker with 3 for 50.

In reply the visitors struggled to maintain any momentum to keep on top of the required run rate scoring only 46 from 20 overs. Cook 90 benefitted to P&C’s skipper Sayers option of using 10 bowlers to entice the visitors in attempting an effort towards their target but still finished well short.
